Averill Park Education Foundation Educator Award

The Averill Park Education Foundation Educator Award honors a teacher, coach, or staff member in the Averill Park Central School District who has made an extraordinary impact on students’ lives. Recipients of this award are well respected, not only for their excellence in the classroom, but also for the way they inspire, guide, and support students beyond it—through athletics, the arts, leadership, mentoring, and countless acts of encouragement. These educators give students the tools to grow, achieve, and strive toward becoming the best and highest version of themselves.

The 2025 Recipients of the Averill Park Education Foundation Educator Award are:

Michael Blostein (Averill Park High School / Music / Jazz Ensemble)

Sean Organ (Averill Park High School / Social Studies / Varsity Girls Basketball Coach)

Averill Park Education Foundation Community Award

The Community Award celebrates a member of the Averill Park community who actively supports and strengthens the connection between our schools and the wider community. This individual demonstrates leadership, generosity, and a deep commitment to advancing the values of the district. Their efforts reflect the spirit of Averill Park—working together to create opportunities and enrich the lives of our students and families.

The 2025 Recipients of the Averill Park Education Foundation Community Award are:

Larry Dickinson (L. Dickinson Construction / Towne Tavern)  – recognized posthumously for his lasting contributions to the Averill Park community

Elissa and Sarah Wehnau (Unbreakable Nutrition)
